Risk Management’s primary goal is to manage cost through reduction of losses.
This is addressed through safety and loss control techniques, training and risk
transfer. Therefore resources can be used to provide public services rather than
payments for claims and higher premiums.
Risk Management maintains the County’s insurance coverage’s including liability,
automobile, property, mobile equipment, environmental, crime and workers
compensation. Also serves as a liaison between claimants and the insurance
companies.
